A Black trans woman, drag artist, and activist who co-founded Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries (STAR). She provided housing and support for homeless queer youth and sex workers.

The fight against anti-trans legislation (bathroom bans, drag bans, healthcare bans) is the same fight against anti-gay discrimination, the same fight against racism, the same fight for bodily autonomy. The transgender community reminds LGBTQ culture of its roots: rebellion, resilience, and the audacity to be exactly who you are.
