A database update changes player names and attributes, but without graphic packs, the game will display generic kits, missing logos, and blank player avatars.

It is highly recommended to start with a fresh installation of the game. Existing mods or custom edits can conflict with the 2013 database files.

You must overwrite the default 2008 database with the new 2013 files.

For the changes to actually take effect in a new game, you often need to "Write" the database:
