Bhuvana is part of a large, traditional joint family headed by her kind-hearted, wealthy father. Mistaking Kiran for a groom from a desirable, wealthy family, Bhuvana's father proposes a match. Kiran, who is an orphan and has no family of his own, happily accepts, overwhelmed by the prospect of belonging to such a large, loving clan.
