One day, Captain Kyung Woo-jin (On Joo-wan) is transferred to Jin-pyeong's camp and moves into the house next door with his wife, Jong Ga-heun (Lim Ji-yeon). Ga-heun is a woman of Chinese-Korean descent, and her quiet, melancholic demeanor immediately captivates Jin-pyeong, stirring emotions within him that he thought were long dead. Their initial encounter is formal, but circumstances soon bring them closer. At a volunteer event in an army hospital, a patient suffering from PTSD attacks Ga-heun, and Jin-pyeong risks his own safety to save her. This act of heroism sparks a connection between them, and in the oppressive and stifling atmosphere of the military camp, they fall into a secret and passionate affair. The film then follows the dangerous trajectory of their relationship, which inevitably faces discovery and carries severe consequences for all involved.
