The 1990 cult classic film Agneepath , directed by Mukul S. Anand and produced by Yash Johar, stands as a towering milestone in Hindi cinema. The film opens in the island village of Mandwa. Master Deenanath Chavan, an idealistic schoolteacher, attempts to reform the village.
