Either of these methods will toggle the visibility of hidden files and folders in the Finder. You'll know that hidden files and folders are visible when you see files and folders with names that start with a dot (.).
For those comfortable with using the Terminal app, you can use a command to show hidden files and folders: show hidden finder link
Example:
Press the exact same shortcut ( ⌘ + ⇧ + . ) to toggle them off. 2. Reveal the Hidden User Library Folder Either of these methods will toggle the visibility
